GRE Advisor Workshops

The GRE Program conducts free GRE Advisor Workshops each year. The next workshop will be offered virtually later in 2024.

This half-day workshop offers student advisors an opportunity to learn about the GRE General Test and how to prepare students to do their best on test day. Attendees will be able to conduct workshops and training sessions, including college-based summer enrichment programs.

Workshop information

Each GRE test preparation workshop is designed specifically for advisors and campus educators who conduct or plan to conduct their own GRE Test Preparation courses with students.

Sessions include the following:

  • Overview of the GRE Testing Program
  • Overview of the GRE General Test
  • Student Test Experience
  • Preparing for the Verbal Reasoning Measure
  • Preparing for the Quantitative Reasoning Measure
  • Preparing for the Analytical Writing Measure
