Video Duration: 2:35

To ensure a fair testing experience for everyone, it is important to follow all the guidelines in this video. These rules help protect the integrity of the test and give everyone an equal chance to succeed. If you do not follow these policies, the proctor may have to intervene. Your test could be stopped and your scores may be canceled. To avoid this, please listen carefully and follow all the instructions.

First, choose a private, quiet room that has good lighting. Clear your desk completely. Ensure you have a chair and solid work surface. Close all doors and cover any windows to minimize distractions. Use only one screen, either a laptop or a desktop. Ensure your device is plugged into a power source. Close all programs except for the test window. Test your webcam and microphone.

Desktop users may use a keyboard and mouse, but no other unauthorized external devices are allowed. Laptop users are not allowed to use a keyboard, mouse, or unauthorized external devices. You may wear a wedding ring or religious headwear, but your ears must remain visible. Otherwise, you need to remove all other jewelry, watches, and accessories. If you have a phone in addition to the one being used for proctoring, turn it off and place it behind you, out of reach.

Headphones and earbuds are not allowed. If you take notes, you must use an erasable marker and write on either a white board or a blank sheet of paper inside a transparent sheet protector. Stay visible on camera at all times. Keep your hands in view and stay seated throughout the exam. Do not talk or read aloud except during the Speaking section.

Breaks are not permitted. No one else may enter the room. Before starting the test., the proctor will guide you through a virtual room scan. Show all the walls and corners of the room. Also, show under your desk, your work surface, and your entire workspace. By following these guidelines, you'll create a fair, secure testing environment and set yourself up for success.

Good luck!
